Ok... I'm going to take it a day at a time.  I will NOT weigh again until Friday.  How's that?  LOL  Maybe next week I can stretch it out even longer.  Gonna have to break it in a little bit at a time.  I'm like a junkie.....I will have DT's if I take it away completely.  Maybe I should get my daughter to hide them for me.  I say her because I can bribe her with money and get them back if I'm in a bind.  Terrible...I know!

My hubby bought me a scale two weeks after surgery. I'd lost 24 pounds since surgery YAY

Then I lost only ONE pound the week I got the scale..... then I didn't lose a blessed ounce in almost six weeks!

Now I'm at goal

Still weigh daily

The clue is to have a proper relationship with the scale (not that I do) .....

EXPECT fluctuation, flatlines, RISES in weight..... and you won't be disappointed. Think you will avoid them, you will. But if you weigh daily and track the weight, (make note of the first day of your period) you'll eventually see a pattern (especially if you weigh in month three and four) ......and if you know your body's pattern, you won't flip when it follows it.

I lost like freaking crazy oen week out of evvery four
Then I lost very litttle but did lose the next week.
Then I flatlined the next week
Then I GAINED GAINED GAINED.......

And I did that every four weeks.

It's tough, I am still a scale addict.  What you need to do is put it away if it's causing you distress.  You've hit the period where your body is in shock and holding on to the weight.  You may be at your current weight for a week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks; there is not defined time of when your body will let the weight go.  It thinks (and you are basically) you are starving yourself and telling you "hell no I'm not going to starve" .

Follow your progam the numbers WILL go done.

My experience was a stall from week 3 - 5 on the morning beginning week 6 I had lost 6 lbs overnight.

Hang in there, it's wild how all this works for each individual.  Be kind to yourself and try not to stress out.

I'm exactly on week 3 so that makes perfect sense....doesn't mean I like it at all...but makes sense.  I go back to my doctor on June 2 for my 6 week checkup.  I would love to have 40 off by then.  What broke your stall?  Did you do anything differently?  I haven't started exercising so I wander if that would help.

My 2 cents....I used to weight every morning, but only wrote the number down on Sunday morning.  So the daily weighs were just my check ins, they did not get me down but kept me focused.  I still weight almost every other day although not losing, but it still keeps me honest and focused on walking the good walk.
I have read on here that some people say to throw awy the scale, but that would cause me great anxiety.  I think the key for me to remember is that I can fluctuate 5 pounds in one day and that is NOT a real measure, but I have a set number that I will go into panic mode if I get higher than that.

I may have had a few extra potholes along the way, but the journey has been good!

I put mine in the closet and then took it out every week or two to weigh. Just didn't want to deal with the extra stress....
