Really need guidance
I know I am posting this twice I am just really desperate.
I called my dr and he seems annoyed with me. I'm one of those people who has been back in the hospital four times since my surgery for various reasons. He says my stenosis might be closing up and he thinks thats the problem. He says I should wait it out 24 hours and he can put me back in the hospital and do another dilation and give me fluids. I'm just having such a hard time though. I keep throwing up everything. I'm trying water and I do this weird dry heaving burping thing. I'm wondering if I should call dr back and have my mom bring me to the hosptal. I feel like though everytime I have an issue I jump up and overeact and this coud just be a passing thing. I just don't know what to do, Maybe I will be fine tomorrow. Maybe not drinking today will make me so dehydrated I will have to go tomorrow to the hospital.
Please give me guidance.

If it was me and it was I couldn't keep food down I"d wait it out a bit.. but fluid? You can't go without fluid and if you can't keep it down.. you can't wait it out.. I would go, what's the benefit of waiting, I only see negatives for waiting. I'm so sorry you are going through so much =(( It must be very stressful, I wish you all the best and I hope you get the answers and solution you need to feel well again!
I experienced everything you mention for the first 5 months post op. I have had 5 Endoscopies, 4 Upper GIs... I was put on Zofran, Reglan and Compasine... and also a drug called Remeron... but I still had it, and one day... it all stopped and I haven't had it again.
My surgeon was at a lost of what to make out of what was happening, he never had a patient with the same symptons I had. I was also seeing a Gastroenterologist and my Fam Med Doctor, they were all equally frustraded. One time I got so dehydrated that I was put on the hosp for 4 days and had to have a banana pack on my IV and also potassium.
Hang in there, go to the hosp if you feel like you are getting dehydrated. I believe it will get bettter just like mine got better. :)

This happened to me too! I didn't have the additional surgeries, but I was back and forth to the hospital, and stayed another 5 days after being home for 10 days perfectly fine post op. My doctor couldn't figure out what was wrong with me either! And then one day - BAM. Gone. I have been perfectly fine since April 15. I think this is so weird, and RANDOM. There has to be something we have in common, whether it's an early vitamin deficiency or something surgical. Not that I'm HAPPY it happened to someone else, but it is easier to cope with when you know you aren't alone. Glad we're both better.
