back pain flare up, can't take prednisone

I have had RNY and had bad reactions to prednisone. Obviously NSAIDS aren't an option. Any thing else that can help with the inflammation/pain? I am already on tramadol.

Sorry to hear you are in pain...I don't have the answer but would like to know what we can take as
well (as I get such bad upper back pain since looseing my weight)
Hopefully someone will have some suggestions.

Hope you feel better soon, sorry I have no suggestions.

I am right there with you.  I can hardly walk right now.  Been going to the chiro with no relief.  I have an appt with a back specialist this next wed and am hoping for some hydrochortisone (sp) shot.  In the meantime.....I don't know if I should be doing this, but I have been using my leftover hydrocodene from my  surgery.  It helps alot.
