Excess skin related injury...

No, they won't pay for anything but the panni removal, however, I'll save $ and recovering time when I do it all at once. I'm definitely not going to a cheap Dr. either. I've not started research b/c I want to be maintaining for at least one year before I consider doing it. It will be my final treat to myself. I'm not doing implants though, just a breast lift b/c I really don't want to be 65 with rockin boobs. I know that sounds gross, but I want to actually look my age... Is that so bad now a days?

I am only 15 days post-op, doing great, and hope that I reach my goal by year end...and I, like you, will treat myself.  But being almost 69 years old....was not sure that I wanted implants either!  So, a lift is on my list, but will talk to Dr to confirm that.  Also, have heard that the TT is a very painful surgery, along with the lift....so just knock me out and get it over with!
We aren't getting older....we're getting BETTER!

 Oh my goodness, Nik! I'm so sorry but I cracked up. I really did try to stop but I ended up choking. =P


However, if you think this is bad... My grandmother has been moridly obese all my life. One morning I got up and went in the living room to find her with an ice pack over a very bad black eye. Apparently, she had decided to sleep in the nude the night before because it was a typical hot California night, had rolled over in her sleep, and whacked herself in the eye with one of her own boobs! Ouch! I think the embarassment probably hurt more then the black eye. =P

I have come to accept that I will probably never have the money for the plastic surgery I want/need.  If I had to choose only one it would be a breast lift.  I called my insurance company to find out if it would be covered and they said they would only pay if it were "Medically Necessary".
Now I am trying to figure out how to convince them it is "Medically Necessary" for me to have perky boobs.

Don't feel too badly--when I first lost a lot I was getting out of the shower one night and when I dried my hair I heard applause and I was the only one in the room.
