So before when I would get stressed I would run to the fridge and eat whatever. But now when I get upset or stressed I have NO desire to eat or even look at food. I force myself to eat cause I know I have to but I just don't want to.

Today was such a day. We spent the day meeting with a neuropsychologist who is going to test my son who has epilepsy and is having some major behavior problems. It was really hard to go thru all of it again.

I am working on getting better at dealing with the stress..big deal for me. But today has been hard and now I feel like crap cause I am not where I need to be at this point in the night with my counts.

This is whole process is really a learning experience I tell ya.

One of the things I have been most excited by is the change from being a stress eater to being a stress non-eater, but it does wreak havoc on your numbers for a day. Can you slip in a shake or protein bar when you really don't feel like eating, so you can keep your numbers a little in line? You need your energy too for this trying time. It is definitely a learning experience and the learning doesn't stop.

I'll pray for your strength and peace during the testing. I hope they discover whatever it is that can help your son.

Best to you and your family,

Denise

I don't have issues with not wanting to eat... sometimes I wish I did.  I think the previous posters idea about the protein bars is a very good one.  I sometimes get called away to things and it can mess up my plan - so I carry one in my purse for those times.   I also carry dry fat free milk and I add the equivalent of a serving to a cup of coffee or tea (decaf) to help me get in my dairy.

Hope things turn around for your whole family!

I have the same problem.  Really not wanting to eat.  I remind myself that now I eat to live and that I need to eat something even little for myself.  I usually have a string cheese (8 protein for 1 string cheese).  Or I did carry protein bars with me like the other woman said.  I've been drinking Crystal Light Strawberry/Banana drink mix and there's 3 protein for each 16 oz bottle, that's helping me get my Protein in.

Sending prayers and good wishes to you and your family.  Hoping everything will go well for youns.
