Am I wrong for celebrating Mother's Day even though I am not holding my baby in my arms yet? If so, OH WELL!!! Hubby and I sure did celebrate! People were like 'This is your last mothers day not a mom'...I'm like Forget that! I AM a mom!!

Anyway....My brother sent me a mothers day gift in the mail yesterday and it brought tears to my eyes. We have a great relationship and it makes me happy to know how excited he is to be an uncle! I'm glad he got me this baby's first year frame because I would have NEVER thought of something like this!  I love my big head little brother!!!

And here is a pic of my brother and his and wife and then me and my love! I have a rainbow family! This was before surgery so I don't look AT ALL like this anymore! When I see old pics of me I am amazed!!  Anyway I love my brother!

I celebrated being a MOM from the second I got an actual heartbeat on the ultrasound because that heartbeat is LIFE and you are his/her mommy.     You ARE a Mommy so happy belated Mother's Day!!

I love the gift and am totally impressed with your brother.  He has obviously been raised very well and could teach my siblings a thing or two.  I hope to raise my son and daughter to act like that when they are grown.

Women become mothers the moment they find out they are pregnant while men tend to feel like fathers only when they can hold the baby in their arms. Perhaps it's the physical (and wondrous) reality of it all. We become physically and emotionally responsible for this being even before we can touch it; we carry it under our heart, we nouri**** comfort it, feel it...love it long before it makes it's presence known to anyone else.

Everything a mother does from that moment on has a direct affect on this new life; smoking, drinking, use of drugs, nutrition, even the psychological well being...everything! Our bodies become a sanctuary for this new life from conception til birth and that's what sets women apart from men. God surely made the right decision in blessings us with the ability to carry our unborn children; we are natural nurturing creatures and caregivers. Can you imagine your DH pregnant??? I know my children would have had a rough ride!

Not at all wrong to celebrate!  You are a mommy already- you are nourishing and nurturing your little bundle of love frm the day of conception.  What a beautful frame- you, and your child, have been clessed with an amazing family- a support system such as this is so instrumental to a child's well being.  Wishing you all the best as you embark on this new adventure in your life.  Happy Belated Mother's Day!
