Give me your best protein drink recipes!
My hot cocoa recipe and method.
10 ounces skim milk
About a tablespoon of SF Davinci vanilla syrup
three packets of sweetener
two tablespoons Hershey baking cocoa
one heaping scoop of unflavored Unjury protein
optional benefiber 1 teaspoon
use a two cup Pyrex measuring cup to warm the milk with the vanilla syrup in the microwave for about two minutes or until temp is about 125 degrees. Should not allow it to get hotter than 130 degrees so use a thermometer until you get your microwave timing right.
dissolve the cocoa powder and sweetener (and optional benefiber) with a wire whisk into the milk. pour about half into a drinking mug and warm that in micro for another 30 seconds. Blend protein into remaining mixture with whis****il blended. Pour protein mixture into cup while stirring to blend. Top off with whipped cream or sugar free marshmallows if you like.
I have been drinking this every day since surgery and it is appropriate at every stage after clear liquids.

These all sound wonderful! I can't wait to try them all! I'm heading out to Walmart in a bit to pick up some vanilla Body Fortress Protein Powder. I'm not a huge chocolate fan....DID THAT JUST COME OUT OF MY MOUTH?! LOL Pre-op I couldn't get enough chocolate anything and now I'm all about vanilla. Weird. I also liked thicker shakes pre-op, but since then I can't do thick liquids at all. Anyways, keep the ideas coming! These are great! Happy Mother's Day everyone!
Sorry to give yet another chocolate one but my mom swore it tasted like a Reese's Peanut Butter cup:
1 scoop chocolate protein (cytomax from Costco)
2 tsp natural peanut butter
1 c milk or soymilk
Splenda to taste

My Caramel Mocha Frappucino:
12 ounces skim milk
1 cup ice
1 scoop Syntrax Nectar Chocolate Truffle
1/2 packet Decaf Instant Coffee (They are like Crystal Light Packets)
2 tbsp Caramel Syrup (I use Archer Farms from Target. Found it on clearance for $1)
1 tbsp Sugar Free Hershey's Syrup
Blend it all together and enjoy! This reminded me of my beloved frappucinos, but with 36g of protein!

I have a hot protein latte every morning for breakfast.

ADD A LITTLE COOL WATER AND STIR THIS INTO A CAKE BATTER CONSISTENCY
While stirring constantly, pour in boiling water. I then put light whip cream (from a can), dritz some Herscheys SF chocolate syrup and sprinkle on cinnamon. YUM. This keeps me full all morning until lunch time. ( I use a Starbucks 16 oz mug)
I change flavor and toppings:

SF caramel syrup with Chocolate and carmel syrups (thick kind) drizzled on top
SF Kalhua syrup

These are the ones you find in the coffee aisle. I buy mine at Old World Market and of course Amazon.com (I need a 12 step program for that site). Others have found them at Costco and Starbucks. There's also two brands...Torani and Da Vinci. I have only tried the Torani, but I can't imagine they taste that much different. Good luck!
