Is there an actual DIFFERENCE in Click Protein?

Nik, isn't that the damn truth!  I just broke down yesterday and signed up for subscribe & save.  I figured as long as I'm addicted now, I might as well save some money on my addiction.

first of all... I love Click. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! I do not think it has the icky protein supplement taste. I love it because it taste like an espresso drink and has a small amount of protein in it.

Having said that, I must also say that I do not consider it a "good" protein source - too high of calories for not enough protein, in comparison to other protein shakes.  I use it in the same way I would use my normal morning cup of joe. I only mix one scoop in with water, then nuke it for 1 minute. This gives me the same amount of calories that my normal coffee w/ creamer (approx. 60 calories for one single scoop) while adding just a little (7.5 g) protein (my coffee cream has ZERO protein). So, I drink 1/2 serving a day. Still, I love CLICK.

I WISH WISH WISH they had decaf. I really need to NOT drink caffeine. ::looking over my shoulder at that obnoxious monkey on my back:::  I allowed myself to get hooked on the caffeine again by drinking Click. bad. bad. bad..kitten.

So, my main protein sources are from actual food and from Premier Protein (30 grams of protein, 1 g sugar, and 160 calories).

I've never tried the cappuccino Nectar but find that the Nectar drinks taste chemically - blech.

Too high in calories and not enough protein? I'm wondering about how you judge protein.

For me a good protein source gives 1g protein for every 10 calories. Click is 120 calories a serving and 15g of protein. It's probably because of its lower protein that it is tolerable.

By itself it's a decent protein source. The best? No. But the best tend to taste like ass. So I put drinkability right up there with protein count.

I do protein shake demos and when I ask folks the MOST important consideration for protein many say the protein count and I say no. The most important thing is, "can you commit to drinking this for the rest of your life (or as long as you have to)? If not, find a new protein!"

lol

And I wish they had decaf too. That would be a coup!

I think that its great that Click tastes great and has ANY protein in it at all, but I judge protein shakes with one another. If I have two different shakes (that don't taste like ass) I am going to choose the one that has the most protein and less calories. So, in comparing a full serving of my two favorite protein shakes - 120 calories w/ 15g of protein vs. 160 calories and 30 grams of protein, I will always choose the 160 w/ 30.

I agree that the most important thing about a protein drink is that you can actual stomach drinking it. Hell, if you cant get it past your lips, it doesnt matter how much protein is in it.

So, although I am not saying don't buy Click, because I am SOOOOOO NOT saying that... (heck, im addicted)... I am saying that I consider it to be equal to my coffee drink for the day and offers a gratuitous amount of protein in comparison to my other protein shakes. 15g may be enough for some people to consider it a good protein source for them - I just need more if its going to stand in for part or all of my meal.

Ah...on that we can agree.

I don't consider Click a protein supplement so much as a really yummy "just over 100 calorie" snack that has good protein.

And for that...it meets my needs.

I'm at the point where I can drink Click and eat an hour later though. So drinking it doesn't mess up my eating.

Hello My Name Is Holly And I Am A Click Addict...

I have recently started drinking this "Nectar Of The Gods" and it has helped in getting me over that hump in the morning of drinking just another yucky protein shake.  Adding Click to my regime has helped me over that hurdle.

To give a much needed boost to my protein intake I add an additional scoop of another protein powder into my beloved Click and I'm good to go with a great 49 gram protein drink I can sip while I drive to work and it's filling and yummy.  And as a bonus I get a nice little zippy buzz.  Can't beat that.

I too am now a slave to Amazon and the auto shipping plan because I can't afford NOT to.  If I didn't, I'd be forced to have to drive a long distance to personally pick up more  which is a waste of gas AND the product would be much higher at full retail.
