64 oz water .... weighs FOUR pounds

A little water retention really impacts the scale

I GAINED one week out of every four during my first year of weight losss

I'd LOSE like crazy week one
Lose a little week two
flatline week three
GAIN week four

Then back to losing like crazy!

hello,
i know exactly what you are going through. I went through it. I thought I wasnt going to lose any more weight. Please be patient and dont get discouraged. make sure you are taking oyur vitamins and try not to eat alot of starchy foods or processed foods. I cried for days thinking the surgery wasnt going to work for me. My husband said I had a dream you lost ALL the weight and now 4 years later i am still maintaing the weight. I have a lot of water retention and my doctor gave me water pills but make its approved by your doctor first. Be blessed!

Hi Renee,
I was reading your post and I have a question how would you know if you've got or has water retention?

Please forgive me, I didnt answer your question. I know when I have water retention when I feel bloated. Similar to when its "that time of the month".

For me water retention shows in my ankles and fingers. If you notice that your limbs feel puffy or swollen like your rings are tight then chances are you are retaining water.  I just wanted to tell you that we are both 10 weeks out and have lost about the same amount of weight. You may be ahead of me by 2 pounds. I am also going through a stall right now. I haven't loss weight in the last three weeks.  I've been fluctuating between losing the same two pounds and it is so frustrating.  I think this must be normal at 10 weeks because you and I are not the only ones complaining about it.

I can tell in the morning, before I get out of bed.
I make fists slowly. When I'm not puffy with water, it's easy and I can gradually tighten my fists with no noticeable difference.
When I am retaining water, the skin around my knuckles and finger joints starts to kind of pinch and sting as I tighten my fists. And my fingers may look kind of fat.
