craving pickle juice!
How WEIRD! I am right there with y'all! I have never been a pickle fan...that is until about 6 weeks ago. Now I LOVE them. Ohhh...and the juice. mmmmm Since I am the only one eating them, I usually have to "re-dip" my pickle in the jar between bites, just to get more juice on it! lol So whats the deal???? Why is it that so many of us are craving this?????
Ok i find this completely bizarre!!!! I like pickles but i have never "had to have" a pickle. From about 2 weeks out (i am now 6 weeks post op) i have had the most EXTREME cravings and wantings for a pickle. I do believe it is your body telling you that you need something.... wish i knew what. But everytime we go out anywhere, i order soup lol, and whatever my fiance gets he gets it with a pickle for me!! Like i am crazy obsessed with gettin a pickle..... dont you guys find this wierd???
it's not going to hurt to have a sip or two of pickle juice. It's not an uncommon craving. While you're probably getting enough sodium from your diet, you're probably having cravings because your intake is MUCH lower than what your body is used to. Someone, a while back, posted about a typical American's diet has 200% more sodium than we actually need in any given day--no wonder why so many people have water retention right?
WOW! Im so glad so many ppl have the same craving! I took a sip of it and my husband looked at me and goes wtf are you doing....I have been living on things like chobani and cottage cheese and protein bars cuz everythign else is makin me sick and there isnt much salt in those things so maybe thats the problem. Before surgery dill pickles were only good on my mcdonalds burgers didnt want anything to do with them otherwise, its amazing how much tastes change after surgery sweet things no longer tempt me very much! Heres to hopeing it stays that way!
Even now, 3 years post op I do not get enough of salt. So it is the salt you crave.
