So, I am going to be going to Disney with my son and I was wondering if anyone has gone to Disney and had an issue with the seats. I hear they are accomidating to"plus Size" but I am still nervous. I am @ 230 and about 5'0" and most of my weight is in the lower half...will I have an issue/

It really depends on how you carry your weight, but I was 5"3+ and 250 pounds the last time I was there and there were lots of seats  that I would not have in.  I tried two and then quit.   :(

We have no problem there. Before surgery at 266 it was a little tight. After surgery I havent had a problem since. Last time we went I was 232 and had absolutely no prob on any ride at disney land and even rode the kiddie rides with no problem at California Adventure. Enjoy!

I went at 5'6" 250, carrying all of my weight in the bottom.  I was a lane bryant right fit blue size 4.  Probably a size 22-ish?  I had no issues at all.  Expedition Everest has a sign that says larger guests might not fit, so I didn't try.

This site has a ton of info, including people of all shapes and sizes reporting their experiences, pictures of the seats, etc.

Have fun!

I've gone to WDW at least once a year, if not more, for the last 4 years. At 5'7", 350lbs and in a 26/28 I've never had any issue fitting into rides at Disney. Some are a little tighter than others, but most are due to height not weight issues.

The best advice I can give is on any ride with a seatbelt, get in and pull the seatbelt all the way out before sitting down and buckling it. It's much MUCH easier to let the belt go back than to fight it coming out.

If you have any questions about touring WDW in general or specific rides please feel free to PM me and I'll be happy to chat with you about touring WDW as a "pooh" sized person.

Check out my favorite Disney info site:  www.allears.net they have a section called WDW at Large.....lots of tips & info there.  I'm 5'10" and went while 350+ and was too scared to even attempt some rides, due to not fitting in the seat, not because of the ride itself.  I'm happy to say my family & I are headed back in December to celebrate my 40th bday & my 1 year surgiversary & I cannot WAIT to be rid of that concern!

My 5 ' 3", 337 fat behind fit into darn near everything I tried at Disney World!    Splash Mountain in the Magic Kingdom was a little squashy, but was doable and not uncomfortable.    Big Thunder Railroad in the MK was a bench seat, no problem.   Soarin' in Epcot was totally doable.   Dinosaur in Animal Kingdom was a really tight fit, as in I didn't fit, but I rode it anyway.   I skipped the teacups in the MK, didn't do Space Mountain or many of the more thrill rides (had little kids with us) so I can't comment on them.       If there is a seat belt, definately pull it all the way out before you even sit down (this works great on Soarin').     Lots of the rides have bench seats and really are not a problem.   You are going to have minimal problems and will have a great time!!!!

You might check out www.disboards.com and search on "pooh size"    I'm sure there are several threads with lots of info.    You might also look at allears.net.
