Hospital Bill
I just got the bill for my surgery and hospital stay. It was $37,000 ! holy crap. almost more then 2 of my sections together. Thankfully I only have to pay 900.
But I would of gladly pay more if need be to be where I am right now. I am so glad I had this surgery.

I don't remember what mine was but I think it was somewhere in the range of 40k plus. Definitely am thankful for insurance covering all but about 750 of it. My surgery will save my next insurer 100s of thousands of dollars in the meds alone I used to take over the rest of my lifetime so it really is good for the insurance companies to cover it even if they don't always see it.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Uncle Sam for saving my life - and the United States HUNDREDS of thousands of dollars in future blood pressure, diabetes (most likely), arthritis, and sleep medications. I feel so blessed to not have a bill for EITHER of my stays (the surgery and 3 days, and then the 7 day stay when I was sick afterward. I AM sorry you guys have to pay ANYTHING, you'd think your insurance companies would see that even though they approved the surgery for everybody, making you pay ANYTHING is being penny wise and pound foolish. Even some of the lower out of of pocket amounts (which are still goodly sums, don't mistake what I'm saying) could be prohibitive to some people electing to have the surgery, even if they are approved by insurance.
