Here's someone else asking How many Calories should I be eating??
I'm almost 9 months out, at goal, and my Dietitian said she'd like me to stop losing now.
How many calories should I be eating a day? And how much protein should I be aiming for?
I sheepishly admit I've never been a faithful calorie counter.
I assume I get about 1000 calories a day now.
So all my wonderful OH family.... What do you say? What should I be aiming for?

Hey Karly - have you thought of maybe giving her a call back and telling her you have no idea how many calories she's suggesting? That might be best.
I don't count calories, so I don't have a formula for you (but I know there is one, something to do with your ideal weight times 10 or something, just not sure what it is), but it seems like she would be the expert.

Are you still losing weight easily or are you having to work for it? You could just add maybe 100 calories and see if you level out. It's kind of a "calorie game" at this point. Add in some calories see if you level or gain. If you gain, cut back half of what you added and see if you level out. etc. I also wouldn't worry to much going under goal that does give you a bit more of a "bounce back" cushion so to speak.
I was at my "ultimate, never dreamed I'd weight this" goal at 9 months and then went a little further down, I am now maintaining between 125 and 130. I eat about 1200 - 1400 calories a day (depending on exercise, how active I am that day, etc.)
