Getting Nervous...maybe anxious...but I think Nervous!
I'm having a meltdown at work. I'm trying to finish up everything before leaving today as my surgery is Monday and I won't be back for two weeks! I AM ON EDGE RIGHT NOW!!! Jumpy doesn't even begin to describe it. Part of me is saying "What are you going to do to yourself?" The other part is saying "Yay Monday is the new beginning!" Then there's a part saying "You're gonna do WHAT to me??" Needless to say, I need some calming down before all 3 of these people in my head combine and completely just have a breakdown!!

U have done your research. You have fought the battle to have a new beginning and start living again. You made your pros and cons list. You have asked your questions of the doctor, nurses, pych doctor.
RU gonna have a change. YES
R the first few weeks gonna be different and sometimes maybe difficult. Could be.
What is your goal? What am Ugonna gain?
Anything worth fighting for is gonna be hard.
If you are married, did your ever question or get cold feet? I know i did.
If you have kids, did you ever wonder if you were gonna be a good Mom? I bet you are.
U can do this. Be happy cause you deserve this.
May the Good Lord have his hand on your surgeon's shoulder.
Good luck and prayers.

Lorie said it all pretty well!
I'm still pre-op, but I've had mini freakouts like the one you are having. Just remind yourself why you are doing this. Look at your life now. Look at your health. What is the best option for you? To live like you are or to have a new beginning, a new chance at health.
Good luck!

It's ok to be nervous. You are human after all. I remember this raining day 5 days before my surgery. I was driving to work and started crying so hard I had to pull over and cry some more. It is ok. I reached out to a friend and talked it out. I needed to cry and get it over with. Keep busy and make lists and get organized. Be determined and remember to put yourself first. I had forgotten to do that for about 20 years and somehow I got to 319. Remember that you should have a love affair with yourself before anyone else.
