6-7 Month Stall - Normal?

I've been losing so consistently up until I hit the 6 month mark. I eat correctly avoiding simple carbs and most sugars. My calories are in line and my meal times are consistent with little to no snacking. I go to the gym 4 days a week doing a hardcore cardio class 3 days and pilates the other 2 days. In the last 45 days, I've lost 5 pounds. The scale is on protest and refusing to budge! Grrrr...

Is this normal? Did any others experience a stall at this point? How long did it last and how did you break it? I'd like to lose another 20-30 lbs by July but that will be impossible at this rate. Frustrating!

Any advice from the pros?

I am just jealous of the fact that you lost consistently for the first 6 months!!  I think you are doing great!  I have had many, many stalls along the way.  I know it is frustrating, but hang in there!  It will move again!

My last stall started on 2/17/11 and it just broke in the last couple of weeks. I didn't lose any pounds, but my pant size dropped from an 18/20 to a 14/16 in that time, so something was happening. Stalls are a normal part of the process. Everyone experiences them for different lengths of time.

It is frustrating, but your body needs a break to adjust to all the changes that are happening. I've learned to keep doing my part and just wait them out. Eventually, the weight will start dropping again.

verrrry normal, or so I read.

I stalled from month 6-8...very frustrating, but stay on track and things will move along. Also take your measurements so you can see that you are STILL losing

I had surgery on Aug 24, 2011.  I have been in a stall for about two months.  I keep gaining and losing the same three pounds.  It is veryfrustrating. I hope that it will pick back up again as I have about 43 pounds left to go before I reach my goal.  I was glad to see this post beacuse I was thinking of posting myself about stalling out.  I just want it to pick back up again.  I am getting frustrated and I feel like I will never reach goal.

Hang in there and hopefully it will pick back up again for us all.

I'm so happy to read this post as I have been losing/gaining the same 3-4 pounds for about 6 weeks now. I am almost 8 months post op.

I will keep doing the right things and hopefully it will move again for all of us SOON!!!!

Same here 6-7 months out no loss and 61 pounds to goal. I lost very consistently before and now it is bouncing between 3-5 pounds on the scale. I feel your pain this post also helped me. I am going to the gym getting my prot. and vita. and water and eating enough. I just don't get why this had to happen now I want to be ready for summer but at this rate...I don't think so. I am not a quitter so I know it will move again my last weigh in with surgeon was 209 and it is bouncing between 209 and 214 for the last 3 weeks. All I can do is hope it wasn't all for nothing and I am not some strange surgery resistant person. I wonder if my pouch is broken or something. Good luck to all the stallers I hope we all break soon it is so discouraging.

I am in the same boat....longer stall though haven't lost in 8 months and I'm worried I have ruined my pouch and failed!!!!! I am desperate!
