Nasal B12?

We got samples of the Nascobal nasal b12 spray. So I tried it. It went smoothly (although the sniffing part takes some getting used to).

But I have a question I can't find the answer to on their website. How is the b12 taken in? It seems to me it goes to the back of my nasal passage, down my esophagus...and into my digestive system? Where I do NOT want it to go? I'm confused. I'm missing something, I know I am.

I think I'm just suspicious cuz this seems to damn easy. Anyone know how the b12 from the nasal spray gets into our systems?

Someone with more science ed that I have will pop on here with all of the correct terminology - but the mechanism is similar to that in which cocaine enters the system. It's directly through the nasal tissue and into your bloodstream. Doesn't hit your tummy (except for I guess indirectly).

ETA: It DOES sound too easy, but it has been proven to work and is awesome for those who can't do the shots.

I have been using the nasal B12 for about six months due to the fact sublingual makes my tongue swell. It is keeping my B12 level where it needs to be. The only bad thing is it is $50 a prescription. The way it works is the same as the sublingual, it is absorbed in you mucous membranes.

Good luck

They gave me a savings card so I think I'm going to try it out. Thanks for this information.

Where can I get this? I hate, hate, HATE the sublingual. I'm thinking of asking my hubby to write me a Rx for the shots.  Is this prescription only, too?

Yep. Script only. Your surgeon or PCP can write you one.
