My first thorough labs...feed back please....

I say first thorough labs as I am 15 months and previous labs by PCP were not getting much of anything so I got these done with my surgeon's NUT. (she has not provided feedback yet) So, per the lab, only my AST and copper are out of sync. Do I need to supplement for these?

Are the comments under Homocysteine and Vitamin D general comments or are those specific to me based on my levels?

Everything look good?

(this shows the range on the right next to my level)

Test Name In Range Out Of Range Reference Range Lab
METHYLMALONIC ACID AND HOMOCYSTEINE (NUTRITIONAL AND CONGENITAL)
METHYLMALONIC ACID 172 87-318 nmol/L EZ
HOMOCYSTEINE (NUTRITIONAL EZ
AND CONGENITAL)
HOMOCYSTEINE, SERUM 6.2 5.4-11.9 umol/L
Homocysteine levels are increased in both folate and vitamin
B12 deficiencies. A methymalonic acid level can
differentiate the two disorders since it is increased in
vitamin B12 deficiency but not in folate deficiency.

sources such as diet or supplementation. Therapy is based on
measurement of Total 25-OHD, with levels <20 ng/mL
indicative of Vitamin D deficiency, while levels between 20
ng/mL and 30 ng/mL suggest insufficiency. Optimal levels are
>=30 ng/mL.

I don't see B12?

Your D is okay, but I'd be trying to up it, by increasing your Dry D3

I don't see PTH either?

hmmm, I will have to ask her as I am almost postiitive b12 & PTH were on the orders.

I have some Dry D as I was supplementing then it went WAY WAY WAY high, so I stopped, but I can add it back in.  Maybe just a few days a week rather than everyday.

Try adding it in every other day.... I believe that we typically want it to be between 80 and 130 in spite of their reference ranges.

PTH should be low

and B12 is vital to be up 500 or higher because too low and there can be permanent damage.

should A be taken sublingually?

I bought some from you, sublingual, but it's NAStY tasting and doesn't dissolve, so I swallow it.

No, doesn't have to be.

Only B12 HAS to be sublingual
