I went on the treadmill for the first time since surgery!
Today I am feeling good. If anyone has been following my progress I've been in and out of the hospital since my surgery. Last time they found a stricture and opened it up. Now I feel like I have so much more strength. I am keeping more normal food and water down and even pills. Today I am not even craving the things I used to.
Today I went on the treadmill. I went about a half a mile for 10 minutes. I know tat isn't a lot but tomorrow I am going to go 20 minutes and the next day 30 and then 40 and then work my way up! I feel great and proud! It is nice going on the treadmill considering I have just been SO week these last few weeks. Time to gain my strength back.

Yay! Good for you!
I also returned to the gym for the first time since surgery. I did 10 minutes on the elliptical. It felt kinda lame! I know I can't do what I used to, but I wonder if I can now bump it up to 15??? I am just not sure how to proceed from here....

Way to go. Start off slow and work your way up. I was just a hair over two weeks out when I started working out. I do 25 minutes on treadmill, 10 minutes on eliptical and 15 minutes on the stationary bike then I lift weights for approx. 20-25 minutes. I have bad knees so that is why I do several of the different cardio machines.
thats awsome.. im just 3 weeks out i have only been once to the gym, im goin back to the pool this week, dr wanted me to stay away for another week or just do 30 mins in the water.. so thinkin im goin to break it up go to the gym first then work out in the pool for 30 mins.. plus i live on a dirt rd n i go for walks with my dog.. its a start i guess.. cant wait to get started for real n lose this weight...
