CALORIC INTAKE AT ONE YEAR OUT
I think there's a wide variation in acceptable caloric intakes for those of us who have had surgery. In my own case (I'm about ten months out and still losing at a rate of about 1.5 pounds per week) I try to get half of my calories from protein, and the other half split between fats and carbs. On most days, I'm eating around 1,400 calories or so. Some more, some less.
How much exercise are you getting? If you haven't lost any weight in six weeks, maybe your energy expenditure needs re-evaluation.

These are the rules I follow:
3-6 Months After Surgery: eat 600-700 calories a day
6-9 Months After Surgery: eat 800-900 calories a day
9-12 Months After Surgery: eat 1000 calories a day
12-18 Months After Surgery: eat 1200 calories a day
18 Months-On After Surgery: eat Maintenance calories (BMR & Activity Level)
P.S. Malabsorption of calories lasts 18-24 months approximately.
