If it does not contain all of the amino acids needed for your body to utilize the protein, it is an incomplete protein no matter what they claim it will do, and you would still be better off with whey or egg white protein.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

I just bought something called Pro-Stat from bariatric choice, and it's hydrolyzed collagen protein, and comes with 19 amino acids. It was always my understanding that collagen was very abundant in our bodies, 2nd only to water.  That's not to say that it's better than whey isolate, I don't know much about any of this at all. I personally try to stay away from dairy because of a sensitivity and prefer Hemp protein, so I'm really not one to talk.  I bought the Pro-stat because it boasts that it promotes wound healing and is recommended post surgery.

collagen may be very abundant in our bodies, but it is metabolized for our hair, nails and skin, not our muscles.

a complete protein, like whey or egg white is necessary for building muscles, which is what we need.

If we don't feed the correct protein to. Our muscles, our bodies will began to cannibalize themselves to get the protein. They will start metabolizing our other muscles, heart.lungs and well muscles.

If collagen metabolizes for our skin, then I can see how it may aid in wound healing which is what I personally purchased the collagen protein supplement for, not for building muscle, in which case I get my protein from other sources. Love to learn new things, I will definitely be doing more research on the different protein supplements to see what combination works best for me given my particular situation with food allergies etc. very cool.

What if my food is incomplete?

I've heard there was a new protein that had 30 grams of protein for each 15 gram serving. That sounds ideal. Then I can use my extra calories on cookies.

The nutjob who was going on recently about that magic Genepro protein powder gave me a nasty reply, then deleted the entire thread. I think she has the cookie signup sheet.
