Not doing so well today

I hope you feel better soon, Nik.  It's good that your first inclination was not the ice cream (unfortunately, today mine was).  It's ok to feel the way you are feeling.  Sometimes it's actually a necessary step to get us beyond where we are and to the next step/level.

Here's to your next level... when you're ready.  In the meantime, feel free to vent as much as it feels safe to do so.

hugs,
Lora

Sending big warm hugs your way.

I'm an avid follower of your Baratric Food newletter and love to see your on-line posts.  You've helped me in little ways to adjust my eatting habits especially when the going gets rough.  So in this moment when your feeling unsure of yourself, know that you have helped me and I greatly appreciate it.

Hope your out of the wood soon with the issues your dealing with.

Hi Nik, God Bless you for typing out your feelings. I'm sure we all have felt the way you do today. Some of us may not be as brave as you,  to share those feelings though. Hugs to you, warmth to you, and love to you. You've got a whole community to lift you up in your time of need.

Nik,

I'm sorry you are suffering; we are here to listen and offer suggestions when requested. You bring so much to this community!

Caring for oneself is not necessarily selfish...but only YOU know if you have crossed that line. If you have, forgive yourself and then get on with life. It is the ONLY way.....

Nik

You have truly been a God sent blessing to me on this journey we call weight loss surgery.  (One of my remaining goals is to actually get to one of your events, so I can meet this amazing women who lights up the internet with her wisdom, joy and earthy doses of common sense.)  I am truly sorry you're where you are today.  Have faith in you and the powers that get you through the hard times.  Remember something that I tell myself - stolen from here - that you can do hard things.  And keep coming back here to dump when you need to.  No need to apoligize for that
