Hello all,

I am about 4 months post op and I have hit a plateau.

Any suggestions on how to kick the weight loss back in gear?

Thank you!

i hit a 3.5 week plateau just recently...very frustrating.  I don't think that I can say definitively that doing any one thing helped break my plateau, as i may have just coincidentally started losing weight again on my own.  But I did try to up my protein by 10 to 20 grams a day, and I paid extra attention to the amount of fluids that i was drinking to make sure I was getting in my requirement.  Also at the gym I changed my routine just a little so that my cardio was a bit more rigorous.

I hope the scale starts moving for you again soon.

What does a "plateau" mean to you?

you've almost lost half your excess weight. I was six months out before I got that far, so you're ahead of the game.. your body is probably just trying to catch up!

I drank a lot of water and walked a lot more.  It always helped.

This really helped me:

Weigh yourself on the scale that can tell you the breakdown of fa****er/muscle ---my surgeon's office lets us come in ans check ourselves there -

I found that during my plateau/stalls I had actually lost over ten pounds of fat and gained muscle and water that my body needed.

Also, keep trying on clothes. I found that I was getting smaller in spite of scale.

It is too frustrating to just keep weighing yourself.

Have hope, follow the program, it will change!
