Have you always wanted a Ninja??

I hate to confess but I have one, still in the box, sitting in the garage.  It arrived during a stressful time this winter and the box was so big and I thought "where do I have room to store all of that?"

I have a blender and a 2 cup blender thing (can't remember what it's called) but didn't use it much in the winter - I wanted hot protein drinks.

I'm gonna look at your recipes and maybe get the thing out.

How does your ice cream compare to eggface making it in Cusineart freezer??

Yes, go dig it out and give it a try. I was just at Bed, Bath and Beyond and came across a couple looking at the Ninja for their daughter's birthday. I talked them into buying the Woot! deal instead.  LOL! 

My ice cream in the Ninja comes out like a Frosty or maybe slightly meltier (is that a word?) than a Frosty. I eat it with a spoon because I can't suck it through a straw. The key is lots and lots of ice and to crush the ice in the Ninja first, then add the protein shake mixture to the ice and blend until it's all yummy together. 

I do the protein ice cream like Eggface does too and that's a bit thicker than the Ninja version. But it also take a lot longer too. LOL! I love that I can make ice cream in my Ninja literally in less than a minute. 

I'm planning to play with recipes much more this summer. I also only wanted hot stuff this winter but I'm SO ready for summer to come so I can do some icy stuff.

Uggh!  And I would totally get one but being a military spouse there is no way I could justify buying anything until the soldiers start getting paid again.  Hopefully Woot will do this deal again.

 I absolutely understand having to pinch pennies. Sending my thoughts and prayers out to you guys as you deal with this crazy government crap going on right now. Don't you just hate politics? (Said the girl who works for an elected official...)

I've seen the Ninja on Woot a few times in the past, so definitely keep an eye on their deals. I actually have the Woot Widget on my Google home page so I never miss anything.
