I'm not sure this is true.  I'd like it to be, but I have a hard time thinking that the feelings in my gut aren't hunger given that it's been hours since I've had something to eat, and it's about time for another feeding.  I'm thinking that this is a mythology that is being promulgated on this board, and there isn't any scientific backing for claiming we're not hungry.

You aer more than three months out.... youre at the point when a lot of people DO begin to regain the feeling of hunger, so I'm betting that you ARE feeling hunger

The nerves ARE cut. I'm not saying what I am saying to make people feel bad or wrong.... but taking CONTROL of our lives, and CONTROL of our hunger, and LEARNING our triggers is what those first critical months are all about.

It's of course easy for me... I get "hungry" but only as a result of boredom or cravings, I do NOT know what hungry feels like because I don't GET hungry. I'm one of the lucky few who nevver got their hunger back...which means that when I'm workign full time it's hard for me to get in more than 700 calories a day. Losing too much is my big issue, not regaining.

But I firmly believe that those first few months there is nerve damage. It messes with FULL and it messes with HUNGRY

But perhaps different surgeons' techniques result in different levels of nerve damage....
