Clothes...ugh.

Since I am a teacher and am on spring break I am going through all of the clothes in the house (mine, hubby's, our 5 year old, and our 1 year old).  Holy hell I have more of my clothes to give a away than I can keep!!!  Yes, this is the plan...but it REALLY messes with your head to look at clothes that have fit for a long time, and now when you put them on they fall to the floor.  I don't know...how am I supposed to afford new clothes every month???  (Yes, I want to NEED new clothes every month) This is going to get pricey!)

Second hand stores are a great opportunity.  You can find some great stuff there.

I feel ya! My problem isn't the clothes, it's the bras and underwear! Clothes I can get cheap at the thrift stores, but undergarments...have to be new. Soo expensive!!! Not looking forward to having to keep buying that. I've already had to get new of both and I'm just starting! Ugh!

YEP!!  What I actually have done is just get sports bras, I think they are more comfortable anyway and they keep my now sagging boobs supported!

I wish I could just do the sports bra thing! My boobs are just too big and wouldn't look right in some of my tops. Oh well.

Buy some shapewear.  They carry them cheaper at Fashion Bug and JCPenney than the real Spanx.  My bras are getting too big, but for now the shapewear holds them up and holds my tummy in.  Underwear, I have always worn spandexy underwear so that I think  I will be fine with.  When I do break down and have to buy a new bra and underwear, I am going to look for sales.  There are typically alot of departments stores that will have pretty good sales.

Definitely though I am a fan of shapewear, if it wasn't for that I am sure I would be shopping for bras now.

Some second hand places will give you a credit for trading in clothes too. Call around and see who might offer such a program, and take all of the cast offs down.

What I'm doing too is just buying a couple of outfits. Seriously, I own 4 pairs of panties, 2 pairs of jeans, a pair of yoga pants, 1 t-shirt that fits well, and a handful of shirts that are over-sized (too bad this isn't the style anymore! lol). In two weeks I'll pick up a few more shirts and donate the too big ones, and pick another pair of jeans in the next size down.

This works well since I'm a SAHM, if I had a job, this would be harder!

I shop completely at sale racks.
Target, Kohls, Marshalls, Old Navy etc.... I go straight to the sale stuff. Sometimes you find GREAT steals, sometimes its garbage. But hey, at least it's on sale!

And also, like everyone else said ... 2nd hand stores are amazing when you're in average sizes!
