Already been back to the hospital...having problems

I had my surgery on March 15th and it was going fine but I started getting super nausious about a week ago. I couldn't keep anything down including liquids so I got super dehydrated. I was constipated and week and light headed, I ended up back in the hospital to get fluids and figure out my nausea. At home I've been taking zofran and comprosine. We figured out I wasn't eating enough so the stomach acid was just churning and making me throw up. I was in the hospital for three days and getting nausea medicine through y IV and I was doing pretty good as long as I ate every two hours. Now I am home (came home last night) and I've thrown up everything I've eaten. I'm making sure I eat low fat low sugar very pureed food. I called the nurse and she said I should try to drink something other than water because that can make the acid worse. She said to drink tea. So I've been doing that but I still can't keep anything down. I am also eating and drinking slowly. I am just at a loss. I don't want to end up back at the hospital but at this rate with not being able to keep anything down I am headed that way.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Thats what the pain was coming from me as well. Pancreas and Gall Bladder dysfunction!!  Talk about being dehydrated, I couldnt even produce saliva! No joke. I am eating barely 2 bites off a fork and drinking alot of water too. Until my reversal in 2 weeks!

That is the same thing that happened to me. I just posted a forum about this as well. About getting out of a week stay at the hospital. I wasnt able to hold anything down either, nausea etc. I been on Zofran as well. But mine took a turn for the worse, after tests, scope, scans, etc I have to have a reversal. My body is not tolerable for the RNY. Sucks! But I have to do what I have to do to stay healthy. I wish you the best because I just got out the hospital yesterday from yet another week in there. I know the frustration, and pain you are going through!
take it easy

Are they sure it's not a stritcure? will your dr not do an endoscopy to make sure? My surgery was 2 days after you and i was very dehydrated coudn't eat I would never throw up but i sure wanted too. I was barely getting 10oz of water in.. I went monday to my dr explained for over a week I was nauseated dizzy etc etc and they next day he scoped me and had to open my stoma said i had a stricture. I would try to insist on them scoping you to make sure. Im still a lil nauseated but its gettin better.. good luck hunnie

I CANT IMAGINE YOU GOING THROUGH THIS SURGERY AND STILL GOING THROUGH SO MUCH FRUSTRATION. ITS SO WEIRD HOW SOME PPL HAVE SO MANY COMPLICATIONS AND HOW SOME DONT HAVE ANY AT ALL. IS IT OUR BODIES OR THE SURGEON. MAKES YOU WONDER??
