Feeling so unbelievably discouraged.
I'm sorry you are going through that. And I know exactly how you are feeling. I have had four really bad bouts with nausea that lasted for days. Try drinking your liquids a different way. If you are blending your shakes, stop doing that for awhile. If you are drinking ice water, try it at room temperature. The more liquid you get in the better you will feel. Stay away from leftovers for awhile and see if that helps. I basically tried to changed everything trying to get something to work.
This is going to sound strange, but I carried vicks vapur rub with me and put some under my nose when i was feeling nauseated. I also chewed gum. I know that is supposed to cause gas, but it helped me and my NUT said that worked, then chew gum. I think I am finally past that stage, hopefully it won't come back.
I will tell you that in some ways I feel lucky that I went through that. I am at 12 weeks and I haven't tested the limits of anything because I was just too afaid it would make me sick or make me never want something I know I will want to try later.
There is light at the end of the tunnel.

I found an article about strictures:
here's one line from the article/study:
(well the cut paste didn't work)
Basically out of 450 patients, 25 ended up with a stricture, with an average of 2.7 months postop, but the range was from 0.3 months up to 15 months...... 0.3 months would be 9 days!!!
Here's the link, y9ou can print this and bring it with you to the surgeon's office.
