Feeling so unbelievably discouraged.

Everything is making me throw up. I feel bad all the time. I'm on nausea medicine and just got out from a stay at the hospital because of it. I am still feeling so bad all the time and so discouraged. I sometimes just want to go back so bad. I just want to be able to keep ANYTHING down.

Why does your surgeon think you are having so much nausea?  Are you getting enough fluids and protein in?

Follow your surgeon's order definitely. As hard as it is to believe but it will get better...I have had problems on different meals, at first it was Breakfast, then it was supper throwing up nearly every meal. But as I have learned to eat slower and drink slower and time has passed it has gotten better I had a whole week of good supper's...now its now and then but it all getting better...I had a sleeve done in December of last year. Hang in there!

My surgeon thinks I'm having a ot of anxiety which isn't true. I'm kind of deppressed because of this whole thing but not anxious. He also thinks its because i'm not eating often enough. Well I'm eating more often now and blander things and still throwing up everything. There is no way to even get in my protein or liquids with all this

Well, not getting enough liquids or protein will cause nausea.  But it sounds like he needs to start looking for the cause of the problem.  He has not done an upper GI or endoscopy?  I'd call in the morning and ask him to start looking for the problem.

I understad what you are talking about ai vomit once a day and very little water. I had an EGD done and was told there is nothing there. The dr said some people have a slower recovery then others. I hope that everything gets better!

Has he done an endoscopy to determine if you have a stricture?

Today the only thing I could keep down was mashed potatoes. My surgeon said it is too early for strictures and doing an endoscopy this early would maybe cause a stricture. In the hospital I was being pumped in the IV with nausea medicine and able to keep food down so thats also why they don't think I have a stricture.

It's NOT too early for a stricture. The nature of a stricture is that a person heals FASTER and BETTER than anticipated.... therefore if you are healing FASTER ....then you might be there.

I would ask him to please check to see if you have a stricture!
