sometimes all this clean-eating stuff makes me feel very guilty

In a PERFECT world hubby and I would have 20 acre spread, raise goats, sheep, cows, horses, chickens and all kinds of fruits and veggies.... we would mostly eat the foods our critters provided for us, and after giving the critters a dignified life, with all the comforts that they deserve, we would add them to our dinner table. (the ONE cow that would feed us for a year would be replaced with a new calf to raise up, cosset, feed, get to know, and in its turn consume).....

This is my perfect utopia. But our house is worth $35K and we paid 100K and teachers are villified, and we HAVE jobs, however poorly we get paid, and I'm of course quite lazy

So planet utopia and our lil farm waits for a million dollar lottery ticket to drift in through the window (since we don't actually buy them) and until that time, I don't see us changing what we eat, much.

I am happy, though, that the local supermarket started carrying Fage. With the nearest Whole foods 50 miles away, and me not tolerating more than 2 mile drives right now, we do what we do.

One thing I like is that our IGA has a lot of stuff that is locally grown and raised, and the quality of the meat is always a cut above that to be found at hte big chain supermarket or the Walmart superstore.
