I am starting my pre-op diet soon. I was wondering how much weight I will lose if I stick to the "full" liquid diet?  My second question is how much can I expect to have lost @ 2 weeks post-op?

Everyone is different.  I was on it for a week and lost 8lbs.  My friend lost 12 on the preop diet.

And as far as the 2 week post op, some lose none, some lose a lot.  Just depends on your body.

You may be setting yourself up for some frustrations if you worry about how many-how fast.

You are on a journey to better health.  Everyone loses at a different rate, and some lose quite slow but steady.

focus on eating well, protein first and keep up your fluids and supplements, you will do fine.

You are likely to lose 85% to 100% of your excess weight by 18 months..... all the other details are so individualistic, there's no way of knowing what YOUR situation will be.

Just follow the program, banish the scale, and enjoy the roller coaster ride!

No one can predict how YOU will lose, either before or after surgery.  Be warned that at 2 weeks AFTER surgery you may very well weigh MORE than you did when you went in for surgery because of continued swelling and water retention...

I lost 9 in the two weeks pre-op and 8 lbs in the two weeks post op- but a lot of people gain weight right after surgery because of all the fluids.

I am not overly worried about how much post op...I am more concerned with pre-op because I want as few risks for complications as possible..
