Nom, nom, nom...  I LOVE gyros..........  You are still very early out.  Where are you on your diet plan???????  Remember, you are basically like a new born baby on the inside at this point.  You need to very kind and gentle to yourself.

I am perfectly content being perfectly UN-perfect

Gyros are SO good! Lamb meat is very high in fat. I would just have a little bit and see how it goes. Don't eat to much of it!

I LOVE Gyros!!! I would probably eat a little bit of the meat and even less of the sauce!! But thats just me! So far, my experience with sauces (parmesean garlic @ BWW) has not been good, so I steer clear or only eat very little!!

Hope it works out for you.

Don't do it, you're on the pureed stage, it's not worth the risk of it not agreeing with you especially while you're at someone else's house!  I'm sorry you're feeling left out, I don't know how you snap out of that.. but I hope you can otherwise this is going to be a long haul.  My daughter had a church youth group dinner where they cook the food, decorate and dress up.. she was the waitress for our table, we had to pay for the meal and everyone had bread and soda and roast beef and a HUGE freaking dessert tray.. and I just had tomato soup and tea and was perfectly happy, being left out never entered my mind.. I was there enjoying the evening and conversation just like everyone else.. except I wasn't stuffing cupcakes and creme brulee in my mouth! LOL  HOpe you can have a fund time

I love them and have had them a couple of times since surgery- but sometimes the meat went down ok and once it got stuck (and very little gets stuck for me) so I wouldn't push yourself since you are on the mushy phase still.  You will be able to eat them again someday.
