Is it really worth it?
Well, I still have my old clothing from when I was a smaller size. I started at size 50 (and getting tight at that), and now I'm 44 and it is getting loose. However, I only have a few pants smaller than that, so I'm going to have to bite the bullet and buy some new clothing.
Oh, that reminds me. I got a great new suit in 2003 at Barneys in New York that I could only wear a couple of times because I was gaining weight. Now it fits fine! Maybe a little loose, but I can always have it taken in,
Unfortunately even size 42 is a bit large. I'm looking forward to size 40, when I'll be able to shop at the Gap like a normal person.

I'm with you on that....if I have to go in Lane Bryant's one more time I will just die! Maybe not die but you know what I'm saying. I want to go to American Eagle & Aeropostle!!! I've made a promise to myself that I will NOT buy anything else until I'm at least 40 lbs lighter. That's a huge thing for me because I'm quite the shopaholic!!

I love my new life!!!
On looks alone.... it was worth it:
I also no longer have high blood pressure, no more GERD, no high cholesterol, no chronic pain, can stand on my feet for hours HAPPILY (preferably) and feel and look younger.

I chased my dreams, and my dreams, they caught me!
I too am having the same type of issue with the people around me. That's why I came to this site. I knew I would be able to connect to people who understand me and know where I'm coming from. I have one thing left to do before everything is submitted to my insurance and I am not turning back. I'm basically not telling anyone I'm having WLS that's been negative towards me about it in the past. After I have it and they still have something to say, they will have to accept it, they have no choice. If they continue to be negative or not supportive, I do not need them in my life. Thank God that doesn't include my family because my mom and brother had RNY and have been encouraging me for the last 5 yrs of my journey. I look forward to my exciting future and can't wait!!! Just keep coming back here and we'll give you all the support you need!!! YOU GO GIRL!
