YAY for seamstresses ... sewing is one perfect aide on this weight loss/maintenance journey ... ask me how I know ... I sew most of my very own clothes true to size with my very own homemade dressmaker's body form which we shared how to on the group SHARE-IT! and others are trying it too...
Four years and 2 months ago I had RNY gastric bypass surgery ... the best decision I made for myself and my needs ... after the remission of 5 co-morbiditys and now having better health and increased mobility I will not return to a state of decreased physical condition if I can help it....
I take a picture a day for my digital empowerment tool a journal that I have called A PICTURE A DAY KEEPS THE POUNDS AND THE INCHES AS BAY ... it works!!
This is my journal entry last week .... I made the first outfit without even using a pattern and there are no buttons and I can wear it in or out both pieces ...
I love to sew ... and we share crafts.. ideas... daily life issues from lip gloss to fashion to controversial and not so controversial issues in our very diverse group that a friend and I started here on OH ... it is call SHARE-it! Thank you Jeanne .... the look on those children faces making something that would bring warmth to someone less fortunate made my heart swell.... we need more teachers like her... one who is helping to shape the men and women of the future in compassionate and caring people ..
We are all teachers in our own right ... can you imagine all we could each do in any minimal measure to make things a tad better or livable.in a quickly becoming harsh and uncaring world ...
