EXCESS SKIN after losing 200 pounds
Yup, we could be twins, except you have a waist and I don't seem to. Maybe once the hernia is repaired I will. Truth is, I've never been without a belly, fatty or lose skin, so once I have plastics, it will be really strange to just see a flat stomach.

If I wasn't going in for a hernia repair, I wouldn't bother either. I'm really too old to care, have no problems (except for how much it jiggles when I do my tap dancing class), and it doesn't bother DH. But since I have to go under the knife anyway... That's why I'm putting off the hernia/LBL as long as I can because I don't want to deal with the pain and recovery again. Especially since I feel so good right now, except for the occasional hernia flareup. LOL

Well it was nearly 3 am, I'd been gradin papers for two hours and discovered how much pain standing for two hours was....so I took another pain pill....and so I might have had fewer inhibitiions.... but I do feel it is an important if sensitive message.

I chased my dreams, and my dreams, they caught me!
You look a lot smaller than a size 12. My whole tummy is covered in lovely stretch marks, so I fear that mine will look awful, and not even a panni/tt will fix it. I wear tank tops all the time, so I worry about the bat wing arms as well. I can't wear long sleeve shirts. Hell, I hate wearing jackets. I'm trying to keep in mind that if being healthy means I'll have a bunch of saggy skin, then I'm OK with that and I'll never have that perfect model body. But there is always that small part that wishes...
I tried to add you as a friend, but it's not letting me.

A friend sent me those jeans, and I think they are from earlier in the vanity sizing craze, because I didn't fit into them until I fit in a size 10 off-the-rack..... I'm wearing a size 10 comfortably, but those are my favorite jeans because I just feel tiny in them.
I remember when hubby was doing the laundry, he said "I think we found a pair of my daughter's jeans when we did the laundry, because there's a pair of jeans here that are too small" and I smiled and said "nope, those are mine"..... he can't get over how tiny my clothing is now!
I live in Arizona... and the picture I posted at the end of the thread is the type of shirt I wear all the time in teh warmer months....which are, you might guess, quite plentiful here. I am a teacher too, exposed to the cruelty of fashion-conscious teenagers..... but I still wear my batwings with pride. I am what I am, and I truthfully don't think that people think much about it. I think they might kind of go "eww" but they get used to it, and get over it because I don't make a big deal about it.
One thing that helped me was a lot of people watching prior to surgery..... I saw batwings and flubber thighs and thin people and fat people and I realized that the majority of humanity aren't really going to give a flip about what I look like, and I have to OWN it and who I am, rather than be frightened or hide who I am.
I think this has helped me a great deal!
I had a bunch of friend requests but didn't look to see if yours was there.... there should be an "add friend" button right beneath my posst that you can click.
