Do I Need To Go To The Emergency Room?

Eggs are EVIL little *******s sometimes.  I had the same exact thing happen to me when I was a new post-op... bad part was, it took place in an airport.  I kept foaming and puking little eggy bits, even in the airplane.  I was TERRIFIED.  Your scenario sounds almost exactly the same as mine with the shoulder blade pain too.

Drink lots of fluids, and take it really easy tomorrow on your pouch.  If it continues after that, I would definitely contact your surgeon or get checked out.  However, you're probably fine.

Well, it's 6:30am.  I ended up getting out of bed (again!) last night, went downstairs and sat on the couch for about 3.5 hours.  I took a Xanax with no water, just because I was beginning to panic for fear that I should not go to sleep in case I vomited in my sleep and choked myself (crazy ... I think...). Anyway, after I woke up around 1:30am, I went back up to bed and slept through until 6am.

I'm feeling a bit weak this morning, and my stomach feels a bit unsettled, but there is no pain or pressure.  I'm planning to stick to a strictly liquid diet today -- no food.  I'm supposed to go to a work function this evening at the Country Club to meet our international team members ... if I can't keep liquids down, I'm not going.  However, if I can keep liquids down, I will attend and just order a cup of soup.

Wish me well.  And a big THANK YOU to everyone *****sponded to my initial post.  I really appreciate this support network -- so much!
