So, does anyone here use Beneprotein powder in your food?  How does it taste?  Walgreens has 6- 8oz cans for $69.99.  Is this a good price?  I am having surgery on monday and thought this might be good to add in my broth for more protein.  What are your thoughts about this?

I hate to be the one to tell you..it is AWEFUL!!!!  I've heard others say that there are some "unflavored" protein powders that don't have much taste (unjury and others) but Beneprotein is not the one to get. I got two cans of that ahead of time and it has alot of BAD flavor and you don't want to add it to anything because you can taste it.  (At least that is my opinion)  Everyone has their own tastes..so if you want to try it I would just get one can. I have found that my tastes have changed somewhat and things that I may have liked before ...I don't necessarily like the same after.....

thanks.  I think after that I will just get a single can and try it.  They are out of stock on single cans right now.  Go figure.

Congratulations on your upcoming surgery!

I suggest  to get the smallest quantity possible at first, because it is true your sense of taste will/can change post op. Also, if you are near a GNC or other health food store, there are other protein powders that have more whey protein isolate per serving than benefiber. Bariatric supplements sites on line will usually have samples available for free or nominal charge.  Amazon carries various powders etc. also.  I am 4 weeks post op and have tried a little of everything.  My favorite is using the unflavored variety so can be used in anything.  It is found on musclefeast .com it has the best for blendability, nominal taste/aftertaste/smell. Plus one scoop gives you 26 gr of protein.   Many of these powders must not be blended in very hot liquids as they will then solidify into a mess.  So must learn to just sip lightly warm broth, coffee, tea etc.
Trial and error will be the best test for everyone is individual.  Best of luck!!

Made it to the Century Club!!! Yeah!!

I use an unflavored powder made by Nectar and you can get it online through Bariatric Advantage. When you open the container it doesn't smell the best but I am very picky with my protein and I can not really taste it in broth. I have put it in cottage cheese, broth, diet hot chocolate, and some of my other pureed food. This has really helped me to make my 60grams a day.

Just an FYI to be aware of - some(most I think) shouldn't be used in hot beverages such as broth.  They usually have a  blurb about temp on the package.
