Just want to break down...
I had a lot of NSV this weekend, and didn't know my weight due to my son breaking the scale. It got wet when he was splashing in the tub. So, tonight I got a new scale and weighed myself...I'M THE SAME WEIGHT I WAS 8 DAYS AGO, 300.5. What the hell?? Granted, it is a new scale, and I weighed myself tonight when I normally weigh myself in the morning. I'm so scared because I have been able to eat more, and have been approved to eat, 3 oz's.
I just feel like I'm at a big point, almost breaking the 300 mark, and I know it sounds strange, but I wanted to break it using my old scale. I trusted it...I weighted the same on that scale (within a pound) as I did at the doc. But, I can't find it anywhere, and we are moving across the country soon, so I just got a cheaper one until we are at the new house, and then get a really good one.
Any suggestions?

I HATE scale-transitions. Just accept this one as your new "normal" and know that soon it will be giving you good news. My old scale showed me at goal at 20 months adn died the next day, by the time I got a new one I was up 9 pounds and it was NINE months before I was back to goal.
But know you'll get there..... you have a new, if somewhat less friendly, scale, and yet it will continue to give you good news.
I always spent one week out of every four NOT losing, followed by a second week when I would GAIN..... it was discouraging....only thing that made it okay was that the week after GANIING I'd lose like crazy....four five or six pounds a night .....awesome stuff.

I chased my dreams, and my dreams, they caught me!
My old scale was the dial kind and I decided I wanted a digital one so I went to Wal Mart and bought one and got on it and decided it must not work correctly because it had me like 5lbs heavier so I took it back and went to Freddie's and got a great scale with all the bells and whistles for only $20 on sale and I was sure this one would be accurate. Unfortunately it had me at 6lbs higher. So I had to accept that it wasn't the new scales that was wrong. The old dial scale was much nicer but apparently not very accurate.

I haven't had to change scales, but I know as I got close to the 200# milestone, it just seemed to mess with me. I usually do a pretty good job of weighing myself on Sunday as a check in but Tuesday is my "official weigh in day". Jan 11th I was 202.5, 1/18 202, that Sunday I was 199.5, but Tuesday 1/25 200.5. I finally dropped to 194.5 on 2/3, only to hit 195 the following week.
I did switch tape measures that I use to track my measurements but since the original one didn't break, I was able to measure with both and luckily they were the same. I've often thought about the scale because we've had it at least 7 years that I know of.
My other problem is CRS (can't remember S***) - what does NSV stand for again?!?!

Aww I understand how you feel. I am almost 14 months out and I am was at 203 lbs on Friday and now on Tuesday I am 205.7! My heart is so broken because I really want to get under 200 lbs. I will give you a big hug because I know that it is absolutely maddening. But you are probably under 300 lbs as we speak. That is just how weird our bodies are.
Keep hope alive!
