My ribs hurt

3 weeks out and my ribs hurt a lot. Is that normal?

I don't know, but mine hurt too. I'd love to know if it IS normal.

Since pain is relative and subjective, I don't know what "a lot" means to you. I Had surgery on 3/16 and aside from a little tenderness on my left side (where the largest incision is done) I'm pain free. I even stopped taking regular Tylenol over a week ago. Then again I have a high pain threshold.

Where specifically is your pain relative to your ribs? Is it dull or sharp? Consistent or intermittent?

I had my surgery back in January, and I had pain my the bottom of my left ribcage for a good two weeks afterwards. It felt like a bruised rib (which very possibly could be, as the larger tools go in on your left side)

I think so. I am four weeks almost, and my hipbones, ribs, etc., all ache. I think its more from lack of normal activity than anything else.

Holy cow!!  Mine KILLED me for 4 weeks...and I like to think I'm pretty tough!  Then all of a sudden *bing* it was gone.  It was weird.  But yes...normal.
