Oh, I'm keeping that and bring it out everytime I think I can have a piece on anything sugary!  I know I can't!!  I will never stop again.  My husband has a terrible sweet tooth and I am always tempted but my diabetes has awakened me now and I'm done with it,  Thanks so much!!

You just told my story.  I cannot just have a bite.  I regained 100lbs with my first WLS because I thought I could eat sugar (and refined carbs) moderately.  I can't.

sugar I try to keep things 6 grams of sugar or less.

Fat, dont pu**** this early on.  I would try maybe 1/3 cup and then wait to see how you feel.  You can always go back and eat some more later.  THis early on 1/3 cup should be enough though.

Remember try to make a meal last 20 minutes cuz it takes that long for the brain to know that you are full

Like everyone else said, I keep sugars low. I don't buy anything that's over 10g sugar. It's hard to avoid it totally, though, because it's in things like greek yogurt and applesauce (the only two things I can stomach in the morning). I'm always very careful to watch the portions sizes of things with sugar in them and I eat them slow. Especially since I've dumped off of things like my pain meds. Pretty much once you've dumped you NEVER want it to happen again.

I guess I'm just glad that I dump on high fat and sugar. Well, not even high. If it's got more than 7g of fat, I dump. If it's got more than 6g sugar, I dump. I've just learned that feeling awful for an hour is not worth my time. Keeps me away from the bad foods. I think it's just a learning process for everyone.
