OT- Putting cats on a sleep schedule!!!!
Sleeping out on this recliner is really starting to **** my cat off I think. She just wants to be up ALL night and we are always yelling at her. Last night she knocked a vase over in my sink and I jerked and screamed and my incision hurt SO BAD!! I love my bad little kitty but she really needs to not sleep all day and wake all night! :P
LOL, if you are able to put your kitty on a sleep schedule, write a book and you will make a fortune!!! Good luck!

You can put cats on a sleep schedule?
If the weather doesn't suck, I toss mine outside for the night when they bug me too much. Tell 'em to go hunt some mice or something. Which they do. They eat the bodies and leave the heads on my doorstep for me.

Yeah, putting your cats on a schedule...good luck with that one. I agree, if you figure it out, write a book, you'll make billions!!!
Go for wearing her little butt out before you go to sleep...and make sure there is food in her bowl too.
@Kelly - that cracks me up. Mine just leaves the dead critters on the doorstep, but she doesn't eat or decapitate them!
Good luck!

I wish if they were gonna eat them, they'd eat the whole things.
But at least it gives my partner something to do in the morning - he is in charge of cleaning up whatever the cats drag in.

I've been sleeping in the living room for two weeks now, all the kitties think it's ABOUT THEM.... not about me.
They won't be convinced that this is about me. Nope, it's not about me.
Cat's know who rules the world, and it's not people!

HAHAH...sorry, but I laughed when I read the topic of your post. Good luck with that.
In all seriousness though, cats are very sensitive to changes in their environments. You sleeping on the recliner is probably throwing her for a loop. Acting out is not uncommon. One of my cats pee'd on the comforter on the futon where my mom was sleeping and they never break litter box. Just be patient, and when you go back to a normal routine, so will she.

Oh, Dear! Hmmm....
Maybe you can get to bed soon and shut the door behind you? How long has it been since your surgery?
I'm one week post-op, today.
I can't sleep with my cat at night, either. Luckily, I have a sliding pocket door that keeps her upstairsat night when I'm down.
I was able to sleep in my bed the first night though. I had my DH pick up 4 pillows on sale, plus I was the Pillow Queen prior to that. I piled all the pillows up and sat up in bed the first 2 nights. After that, I was able to start lowering my head.
I'm sleeping in my normal position now, with my two favorite pillows under my head, and one of the new ones between my knees to help with soreness upon awaking. My knees are still sore, but the pillows between my legs HELPS SO MUCH.
Good luck! Please let us know how you are doing!
My thoughts are with you! :)
