I had to wait 8 weeks, but I had open surgery with an 8" incision that oozed from spots for almost 10 weeks.  :(

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

Not being able to bathe for three weeks per my surgeon's instructions was torture!  I've always been a bath person and I love long hot soaks.  Hate showers and seldom take them, only if emergency situation and bathing is not an option - like of recent.  Urgh!  I don't stand very well without a lot of pain so I had to buy a shower seat (only $7.00 at the thrift shop).  I could at least comfortably sit while I used my hand held shower thingy and did all my cleaning and hair washing business that way.  My first hot bath a week or so ago was pure bliss!!  My next adventure is going to soak and swim at the local Mineral Hot Springs Spa in my area. One can swim and sauna and hot tub for less than $8.00 for the entire day. Looking forward to that.  Had planned to go last weekend but the weather was bad and it was too cold.

Soon enough you'll be able to be back in your tub again!  Enjoy!
