I keep seeing "panniculectomy" and don't know what it means?  What is the difference between that and a tummy tuck?

that is where they remove just the flap of skin that hangs down from lower abdomen. i tummy tuck is where they remove the skin from the muffin top and tighten the skin up?

Insurance will sometimes pay for the panniculectomy  (because of issues with rashes) but will rarely pay for a tummy tuck (whi*****ludes tightening the abdominal muscles in addition to removing extra skin from the whole tummy and runs roughy $7000).

A lot of insurances will pay for the panniculectomy but not the tummy tuck. It gets a lot more expensive with the tummy tuck because they do muscle tightening and some other extra things.
