2 wks post-op panniculectomy (pic)
You look wonderful!!!!!!! In jeans already- pretty impressive. About a week ago i tried on pre op jeans and i could barely shimmy them up closing them was out of the questions. I have noticed a decrease in the swelling with continued use of the binder, but I haven't tried the jeans again and I'm still pretty swollen. I sent a friend request so I could see your profile pics. Again- you're looking amazing- who'd ever know you had 10 kids- not I thats for sure.

She will tell you all insurance info, procedures, and she is so ind and patient. Dr. Reddy takes time with you, answers all your questions and phone calls and his work is amazing...He is a trauma surgeon, PS, and reconstructive surgeon.
He will be reconstructing my breasts in the near future.....He works out of Atlanta Medical Center and Northside Hospital.
Most important post-op is wear you binder 24/7 to minimize swelling and take meds as needed....pm me anytime you want for additional info...I only stayed overnight in hospital and my nerves were rattled but I was out before I even hit the OR and woke up in recovery and it was all over!
that is fantastic advice..how far out post op are you? i am 10 years out! and praise God i am so healthy and maintained my weightloss the entire 10 years..did you have any problems with getting approved thru your insurance company? any large copays or deductibles u had to meet? i would love to connect with you if you are open to it esp since you live here in atlanta..ive never had a WLS buddy :-) i did the journey all on my own.i had the surgery in 2001 and then immediately following moved to the caribbean with my job and been traveling ever since..been in atlanta for 6 years..take care and love to hear from you soon,
Dee

I am from Illinois....My Dh and kids and I haved lived in Atlanta since 06 and I had my RNY and my PS here.
My RNY surgeon recommended Dr. Reddy and I had an appt. along with all of my records and letter of medical necessity from my PCP....I was approved by my insurance on the first submission and I had no co-pays except for Dr. visit and prescription co-pays.
The hospital will give you a binder after surgery for tummy.
Dr. Reddy will examine you and take photos and submit to insurance...I took me about 1-2 months after initial visit but paperwork and photos have to be submitted properly....My insurance only took 10 business days to approve and I was scheduled for surgery.
