It's fuzzy. How much protein is in there?

I don't personally eat enough bread to make it worth it to buy it (I am still working on the loaf of P-28 I bought and froze months ago!) but I am interested because I like Arnold products

I am like you...a loaf of bread takes me months to go through, so I buy it, freeze it, and take a piece out here and there.

1 Slice= 110 calories, 18 grams of carbs, and 7 grams of protein

I usaully toast a piece and slather it with homemade hummus....YUM!

I buy it occasionally.  It's ok if it is toasted well, but it is also kind of dense, which means I end up eating only half of it (if I make half a sandwich, I end up eating only half a piece of this bread) as opposed to close to a full piece of a less dense bread... so it really isn;t double the protein in the end.  I did NOT like the tase of it untoasted.

I think the problem with high protein bread is that they tend to increase the protein by making it high gluten. I am not gluten sensitive, nor do I have Celiacs, but I don't like having a lot of gluten in my bread. That P-28...man...that stuff is hard core. Eating it untoasted is like chewing on a wash cloth. I kid you not!

Hmmm... maybe follow the "washcloth" bread with some of the "chocolate Pepto Bismol" protein shake....    {shudder}

You may very well be right about using the gluten to get extra protein in there.  I eat bread so rarely that I just get one that I actually like... when you only eat a piece at a time, even the occasional piece of old-fashioned, "smooshy" Wonder bread isn't a disaster.  Mmmm.... PB&J on Wonder bread....  ;)

See…wheat bread has always been an easier sell than white. White bread is too mushy. I don’t like that. I like a hearty bread that is slightly chewy (not quite as chewy as the high gluten boys, just a little resistance to the old jaws is nice).

Oddly enough I don’t like peanut butter on bread anymore! But give me a caramel corn rice cake OR a big bowl of oatmeal and me and my PB are ready to go to town!

Oh Niki!  You posted before about the oatmeal and peanut butter and I reluctantly decided to try it.  Oh my all that is holy!  I added a scoop of vanilla protein powder and a tsp or so of peanut butter and it was just like eating a cookie.  My new favorite breakfast.  Thank you very much

lol, it is! That stuff is wicked. No matter how much I tried to toast it, grill it, do something with it that made it bearable, I couldn't do it. thankfully my daughter liked it and ended up eating the 2 loaves I bought. I had maybe 2 slices.

I have bought a loaf, although it is my husband that eats 99% of a loaf of any bread.  I liked the taste, couldn't eat the crust really but that is not unusual for me anymore.  For me it is a "sometimes on the weekend, I just want a taste of toast with breakfast" bread. For a sandwich I still use the Thins.  Or whatever Arnold calls theirs.
