That is right, 3/4 cup = 6 fluid ounces

 That's correct.

8oz = 1 cup
6oz = 3/4 cup
4oz = 1/2 cup
2 oz = 1/4 cup

For the first several months post-op I didn't even bother putting my set of measuring cups away in the cupboard. I just kept them on the countertop and used them to measure everything. I'd also use different types of dishes and measure out food just to see what the food would look like on that particular dish (ie: bowl vs. plate). It takes practice to start to recognize what different measurements look like with different foods and on different dishes.

wow...darn....I had no idea it was that much.

So if I am allowed 1/4 - 1/2 cup of protein 3 times a day then that would mean I only have how much left to be able to eat?

Yes....I am dense and bad in measurements.

That little chart I just typed above is a good thing to copy and print to keep as a reference. If you're allowed 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup per meal... then that means 2 to 4 ounces in quantity.

Weighing food is a different type of measurement. But your doctor's guidelines are for quantity. The amount of food that will fit inside a measuring cup, now how much it weighs. We'll explore that lesson another day. :-)

3/4 cup  And it doesn't feel like that much either since it's a slider food

You would only have 3/4 C left for the whole day!  I am VERY concerned that -- given that guideline for eating -- you are not eating anywhere near enough protein!!!!  If you have one more yogurt, for example, you will have had 1.5 C of protein, but only about 12-20g of protein depending on whether it is regular or Greek yogurt.  That is no where near enough protein!!!  One of the few things that surgeons are able to agree on for post-op eating is that 60g is the minimum daily protein intake (and you will malabsorb some of that).

Based on that my Dannon Light N Fit has 5 grams of protein in that 3/4 cup according to my surgeon saying 60g of protein a day, then you'd have 55g yet to go for the day.

Well,

If the 6 ounce cup of yogurt had 7 grams of protein in it (Check the nutrition guide), and the doctor wants you to have say (100 grams of protein), you still need to get 93 grams of protein.

Did your nutritionist cover reading nutrition labels?  If not, shame on them.
