Is it ok to take Miralax and Colace daily?  I take Colace now and it's ok, but I'd like a little more "help" and thought of adding Miralax to the mix.

i know what the package says and the answer would be no. i know that with a new digestive track set up and the difficulty going to the bathroom i try not to take miralax everyday but if i have to i have to what other choice do we have. and it is safer than stimulant laxatives(exlax, etc.)

I was told I can.  Although I don't.  I have just had two bad bouts with constipation, but healing from that has been an issue.  I know everyone is different, but other than my two experiences with constipation, I still usually have a BM daily.  So, I take two Colace daily, and then Miralax maybe twice a week.  If I go more than two days without a BM, I add the Miralax back in to avoid constipation again.  I had started to take Miralax daily, but I don't like the sudden need to find a bathroom that I seemed to experience on it.  I know the packaging says not to use more than a week or two straight or something, but I believe that is without the consent of a dr.  I see a lot of people on here who take it daily.  Also, have you uped your fiber?  Another thing I found to help when I was having problems was adding Benefiber to my drinks to make sure I was getting in enough.

yup totally ok.  I take 5 colace and 1 cap of miralax every day.  It was recommended by my surgeon as well as my nutritionist because of my BM "issues."

I want to add that I was up to 2 colace a day and was not seeing any difference my best friend told me that her sister was having difficulty as well and the doctors told her to increase her water.  I can honestly say I do keep my fluids up, but I was not drinking enough water as such which softened the problems I was having which was more of an issue then was the frequency which I was going with.  I was on the verge of going to see the doctor because nothing was helping.  I have upped my basic water intake to at least 60 oz a day between warm water and room temperature water in addition to whatever else I drink and I am having a lot less issues the last couple days.
