LOL... Yes passing gas is the best after surgery!

The gas x helps alot but there is a limit to how many you can take in a day. I think it is 4 so i take one in the morning and one at night and that seems to help me.  They gave me LORITAB for pain and it works great but i only take 1/2 because i have small kids and need to be alert with them.

You are really doing great with your water. GREAT!

I dont have a drain. Why did they give you a drain? How many incisions do you have?  I have 6 (two on each side of my belly, one just below my breast and one just below my belly button) and my surgery was done laproscopic. What about you?

LOL  My clothes are getting very loose so i know i did but not sure how much. When did you first weigh yourself?

Thanks

I just had mine done 4 days ago and ate a slice of cheese quesadilla. I chewed it to the consistency of mush. So far I haven't experienced any pain or anything.

The day after my RNY while in the hospital they brought me my first meal.
Small amount of tomato soup, jello, and some vanilla protein shake (about maybe 2 oz)
I was like you have got to be kidding me! food? soup? Mind you in my WHOLE life I never ate tomato soup, hated it!
I am here to tell you that was the best soup I ever had! Our tastes change quickly. It is also a soup that is pretty high in sugars, went down fine and I still have some once in a while, the tomato kind I mean.

Your not a freak, things get better and we learn to prepare ahead of time. You got home, safe and are able to get onto your band wagon for the right items needed to get your protein up. Most important are also the liquids.

Enjoy your ride/journey and hang on tight, there will be bumps and sharp turns heading your way
