Just wanted to pop and and warn people who have Kroger stores in their area that the new Kroger brand Greek yogurt has a very grainy texture. I tried both Strawberry and Vanilla (I thought maybe I had justy gotten a "bad" container). I ate a couple of bites and threw the rest of BOTH away. Yuck!

I agree, I have tried as well and also tried two different containers thinking the same thing.  It is very gross!

HI I was just wondering is there any particular brand of Greek Yogurt that is good, we usually eat Yoplait and Weigh****chers yogurt but never tried the Greek so was just wondering about that thanks for your post on Kroger Brand :)

I like Dannon, Yoplait (new), Oikos AND Fage Greek yogurts (I buy vanilla and then sometimes add fruit).  I usually buy the Dannon, though, because it's only $1 per container at Walmart.  The Fage is a thicker consistency than the others (but none of them are grainy like the Kroger!)

I haven't seen the Kroger Greek yogurt. Thanks for the heads up though. I do eat the Kroger carbmaster and once I got used to the texture, I really like it.

I like the Chobani brand of Greek yogurt, but usually get the Dannon brand because of the price. I always get the plain and add my stuff to it. I don't really care for the Yoplait Greek yogurt either.

Thanks for the review. I bought a couple of containers today to try, now I think I'll use it in a shake or something instead.

No more Kroger for me after I moved.  Sadly no more Fage either :(.  I have to get my greek yogurt at Walmart and buy the Oikos.  The supermarkets aroudn here have a brand called Greek Gods, and frankly it's just plain yogurt that they're trying to pass off as greek yogurt.  It doesn't have the right consistency and the protein content is way too low.  I just bought a container of Athenos greek yogurt at Walmart.. never seen it before, and they were out of plain Oikos.. so here's hoping its good.  The protein content was right, so I'm hoping its thick enough too.

I live on Greek yogurt!  My absolute favorite is Chobani.  It has the best consistency.  I buy a 12 pack from Sams Club, its less than $1 a cup that way.  It is a tad high in sugar if you have a sugar sensitivity now (its about 19-20 grams per 6 oz) put I scoop out the additional syrup before I stir it up.  The plain with a drizzle of honey is superb!! Good luck.

I love Kroger's new Greek yogurt. It has a real smooth texture and taste. I like all the protein it contains.
