I have to ask...why would you EVER want to put a carbonated beverage in your pouch?  are you eating AND drinking?  also, are you getting your protein in FIRST with your 3 meals a day?  because if you get your proteins in, you won't be hungry like that.  your pouch is only at this point holding as much as a shot glass.  So YOU HAVE TO PUT protein in FIRST every time you eat and NEVER snack.  Sounds like you need to be taking your supplements correctly too.  Be careful on this because you can cause yourself life long harm and death by not getting enough protein, B12, and every thing else you need. Make sure you check in with your surgeon and nutritionist AND support group.

This is just my assessment.

Also, sounds like you need to be sipping water regularly.  just be careful when you drink your water and when you are going to eat.  hope you are scheduling your meals..that would help.

If you've started to snack, get that crap out of your kitchen and your life.  The more you eat refined carbs, the more you want.  It's part of the Metabolic Disorder you are subject to.  I have the same problem, so I know what I'm talking about.  Just empty your cupboards of all rice, pasta, potatoes and bread.

How motivated are you, really?  You had the RNY and then started doing exactly what got you to the point of needing surgery.  Grow up.

I appreciate you being so direct you are absolutely right!!!!! I have gone through to much to go back to my old ways!!! I was sooo sick for the first three months that I found myself eating what I could keep down and I noticed it was things I shouldn't have that my pouch would tolerate like refined carbs. I have been in and out of the hospital from the beginning with kidney stones, severe headaches, dehydration,  severe pain on my left side, now I am severely anemic. I was told these are all side effects of the surgery. I am knocking on wood that its been 2 weeks that I have not been to the hospital. I have gained between 4 and six pounds in the last 3 weeks. Since my surgery I am down 30 pounds.

Make sure you eat a dense protein 1st b4 anything else ... this will force you to not be able to eat as much. Also try to wait 60-90 minutes b4 drinking after you eat , this will keep you full longer.
