Calling all "innies!" Do you have problems with bellybutton infections...

I get warm-moist-crevices-cracks-and-caverns itchiness.. yeast infections.... fungal infections... don't know what it is... they itch, hurt and oh boy do they STINK.

foot fungus creams are my go-to junk.... even though I don't like putting my fingers anywhere near those gross warm-moist-crevices-cracks-and-caverns.... it's gotta be done... and I use those creams.... generally only ONCE, after a good shower where I clean out the warm-moist-crevices-cracks-and-caverns really well, and then sleep on it. By the next morning I'll have forgotten my trauma, and move on with life.

I had a LOT more issues with it pre-op and SMO, than I have now. Now my skin wants to make sure that I can't come up with much of an excuse for Plastic Surgery. My suggestion, if you get the warm-moist-crevices-cracks-and-caverns thing often, snap photos of them looking their worst.... often. Document what that excess skin is doing to you, and you might get insurance to pay for it to be gone. Could happen.

Oh, and I copy-pasted.... my descriptor amused me. I'm easily amused:

Unfortunately, I know your pain! I often rubbed a bit of corn starch inside my bb to dry it out...it seemed to help somewhat, and definitely better than ointments.

However, eventually the infections got to the point where they were never-ending...clear it up one day, another infection started the next.

The only solution I had left (and it isn't cheap) was to have a fleur de lis tummy tuck and have a new belly button constructed along with the flat tummy. Costly I know...but, it worked like a charm. I feel like a new girl.

Yes I get that too...I went to the doctor about it and she told me to put monistat on it everyday. I don't always remember to put it on there though, but it does work pretty good.

I used to before my LBL and hernia repair. Now, thanks to the hernia, I am SusanXY (or a plain bellied Sneech for the Seuss fans - LOL).

No belly button? No problem!!

I would say it's definately yeast. I use the o-t-c yeast creams on mine and it clears up pretty easily.
